The Victim Service Division was created in October 2018 and funded through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Service (MDHHS) Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant.  The Victim Service Division is dedicated to helping victims of elder abuse with a crisis or crime against them.  The Victim Service Division includes an Elder Abuse Specialist, Social Worker, and Volunteers of the Consumer Protection and Reserve Division.

The Victim Service Division is designed to

​

1. Provide direct service to elder abuse victims

2. Educate citizens who may come into contact with potential victims

3. Make referrals to appropriate agencies and services according to needs

The Victim Service Division is available 24/7 to respond for any request for assistance involving elder abuse
