CAPTAIN ROBERT HEATH
Captain Robert Heath has proudly served with the Office of Genesee County Sheriff for the past 18 years with responsibilities spanning from Correction Deputy to Division Commander. Captain Heath is currently the Law Enforcement Captain; Overseeing the Road Patrol, Investigations, Court Security, Internal Affairs and numerous specialized units. Captain Heath has developed a thorough understanding of Law Enforcement administration, planning, patrol operations, investigations, drug enforcement, special operations and emergency management. Captain Heath has command experience in all divisions within the Office of Genesee County Sheriff and previously served as the Paramedic Division and Emergency Management/Homeland Security Division Commander.
Captain Heath was instrumental in the creation and implementation of the Genesee Intermediate School District countywide all hazards plan. Captain Heath has trained hundreds of police officers and teachers in response and deployment to active shooter events. Captain Heath is an experienced tactical operator, medic and hostage negotiator. He has served as tactical team member, team leader, and team commander. He has worked closely with the U.S. Secret Service, ATF and FBI. Captain Heath has served on numerous high profile security details, including details for the past four U.S. Presidents.
Captain Heath has received numerous awards for Professional Excellence, Meritorious Service, Lifesaving, Heroism and Valor.
